Arts education in rural communities
I’m a founding member of Hungry River, a theatre collective established in 2011, in Ridgecrest, California.
As their director of education, I developed curricula for every school in the Sierra Sands School District—grades K through 12. I also taught workshops for adults, directed the high school play, and wrote a comprehensive educational guide that satisfied the California Common Core Standards.
The theatre space we founded is still running programming today.
UNDERGRAD THEATRE
While earning my MFA, I taught theatre to undergrads at Columbia College as a TA. I guided them through vocal technique and Viewpoints-based practice.
